Take A Chance On Me

Maddie Donovan never planned to be a runaway bride. It just…happened.

One second she’d been standing in the church vestibule waiting to walk down the aisle. The next, she’d climbed out the window and peeled out of the parking lot on the road to nowhere.  Now she’s walking down a deserted highway in a stupid princess wedding dress in the middle of nowhere with only a red neon bar sign to light the way.

So, yeah, she’s spending the only money she has on shots and flirting with a hot dive bar owner on her wedding night. She’s already ruined everything. What’s one more bad decision?

But going back to his house?  That’s a step too far.

Mitch Riley never claimed to be a knight in shining armor, but he’s going to make an exception for the drunk runaway bride.

He’s not about to send her out into the night to sleep in her abandoned car on the highway.  He can give her a safe harbor while she figures out her life. She’ll go back home soon enough and he’ll get back to the monotony of small-town life.

Sure, plotting and scheming isn’t exactly hero behavior but he never claimed to be a good guy.

Besides, Maddie’s got good-girl complex written all over her.

How much damage could she possibly cause?
